The International 2026 ended with a deciding fifth game in Shanghai, where Team Spirit defeated TEAM VISION 3-2 in the Grand Final.
Team Spirit won the deciding map to lift the Aegis of Champions and close out TI 2026 after four days of Main Event action at the Oriental Sports Center.

The International 2026 Grand Final result
- TEAM VISION vs Team Spirit – Team Spirit wins 3-2
The series swung back and forth from the opening map. Spirit struck first behind a dominant Yatoro performance, but VISION answered with a long comeback in game two to level the final at 1-1.
Spirit moved onto championship point by taking game three, only for VISION to respond again in game four. That forced the biggest Dota 2 match of the year into a fifth and final map, where Team Spirit finally broke the deadlock.
Team Spirit complete the run to the Aegis
Team Spirit completed a lower-bracket run after losing 2-1 to VISION in the upper bracket. They responded with three straight 2-0 victories over Team Liquid, BoomBoys and Team Yandex before beating VISION in the Grand Final rematch.
The victory ends a tournament that started with 16 teams on August 13 and narrowed to eight for the Main Event from August 20-23.
How the Main Event unfolded
The playoff bracket opened with four upper-bracket quarterfinals:
- Team Spirit 2-0 Iron Wing
- TEAM VISION 2-1 BoomBoys
- Team Yandex 2-0 Team Liquid
- Nigma Galaxy 2-1 Team Falcons
Defending champions Team Falcons were then eliminated by Team Liquid in the lower bracket, while BoomBoys survived against Iron Wing. In the upper bracket, VISION beat Spirit 2-1 and Yandex beat Nigma 2-1.
VISION kept control of the upper bracket with a 2-1 win over Yandex in the upper-bracket final. Spirit, meanwhile, rebuilt their run from below with three straight 2-0 wins over Team Liquid, BoomBoys and Team Yandex to earn a rematch with VISION for the Aegis.
